Adopt A Veteran

Students are invited to “Adopt” a veteran from their community who is living or has passed and ensure that they are included in the archive.

For those veterans still living in the community, students can help them digitize their materials or invite them into their school to use their scanners and computers.

Teachers can also develop a lesson plan that encourages students to research and collect the stories and artifacts of veterans (who are no longer living) from their community and include them in the archive.
